How to Run FLUX on WordPress

FLUX is one of the strongest open image-model families available, and it’s the default workhorse in StudioUI’s image studio. FLUX Turbo vs standard

StudioUI’s hosted catalogue offers a fast FLUX Turbo path at 50 credits per image and a higher-quality standard image at 100 credits. Turbo is for iterating quickly and cheaply; standard is for when base quality matters more than speed. The live cost is always shown on the generate button, so you choose with the price in front of you.

Path A — Run hosted FLUX (fastest start)

Install StudioUI and connect your site to hosted compute with a one-time connect code.
Embed the studio on a page with [studioui_studio].
Generate — FLUX Turbo at 50 credits or standard at 100. The image lands in your media library.

No keys, no GPU. This is the right path for most sites starting out.

Path B — Bring your own BFL key

Activate StudioUI Pro ($149/yr) to expose the provider-key fields.
Paste your Black Forest Labs (BFL) API key into its field in settings and save. Keys are stored server-side and never exposed to visitors.
Map FLUX image generation to your BFL key. Generations now bill to your BFL account at their rates, with no StudioUI per-generation fee.

Path C — Self-host FLUX on ComfyUI

Install a FLUX checkpoint in ComfyUI on your GPU machine, plus any custom nodes the workflow needs.
Start ComfyUI listening on a reachable address (default port 8188, launched with --listen).
In StudioUI Pro, switch the image backend to self-hosted ComfyUI and enter the endpoint, e.g. http://YOUR-GPU-HOST:8188.
Generate one image while watching the ComfyUI console to confirm the job runs on your hardware. No per-generation fees.

Getting good results from FLUX

FLUX rewards descriptive, natural-language prompts over keyword soup — write what you want as a clear sentence describing subject, setting, lighting and style, rather than a comma-pile of tags. Use the studio’s creativity dial to control how literally it follows you: lower for faithful, predictable output; higher to let FLUX interpret. A practical loop is to explore with Turbo (50 credits) at a higher creativity to find a direction, then lock the prompt and finish on standard (100 credits) at a lower creativity for a clean final. Attach a reference image when you need the output to echo an existing look.

Troubleshooting

BFL auth error — key wrong, expired, or lacking access to the FLUX model requested. Re-copy and check your BFL dashboard.
Self-host job errors — missing FLUX checkpoint or custom node in ComfyUI; the console names what’s absent.
Self-host job never arrives — reachability/firewall; confirm the WordPress server can hit port 8188.
Slower than expected — standard FLUX is heavier than Turbo; use Turbo for iteration and standard for finals.
